"... or you'll fall for anything."

So goes the country song. I was talking to my mom the other day about how hard it is for me to respect people who say something but it doesn't apply across the board. Well, which is it? Do you believe what you say or not?

I stand for a lot of things and to the best of my ability, I stand for what the Bible says. If someone were to come to me and say, "Sarah, that thing you're claiming to believe and stand for isn't in the Bible, or it's against the Bible", I would take that seriously and look into it. I'm not perfect. I can talk myself into a false belief and if I did, I'd want someone to show me.

It sounds vague and overarching, but I stand for freedom.

Freedom is complex. It's not easy to define and execute but anything worth anything is going to be a challenge. Freedom works best when people care about and respect one another, even if they disagree. When that happens, I can disagree with your actions or your beliefs, but I'm not going to trample on them and vice versa.

If you want to smoke or drink or gamble, that is your choice. I don't want to do those things but you are free to do so. I am free to not participate in those activities.

I don't want to get political here, but if you want to support things with your personal money and time, go right ahead. We all can make our own choices (outside of breaking the law) but those choices don't have to and shouldn't trample on others.

I stand for and support freedom. My freedom and your freedom. Within that freedom, I hope there is room for discussion and respect, even among people who disagree.
