Winter Is Here

It snowed on Friday.

We were expected to get flurries. Yes, and then some. It didn't stick to the concrete but it did cling to the grass and trees. This was a thick, wet snow. I was THRILLED!!!!

I love winter and I love the snow. I prefer being cold to hot, but I struggle with picking a favorite season. It's tied between winter and summer. (Summer has baseball and flip-flop/bare feet weather :) I have a friend who also likes winter and is at school out in Grand Rapids. We talk about two things: sports and snow. All winter we text each other when it's snowing and send pictures of how much is on the ground, Weird, I know.

Before I could drive, when people found out I loved winter and snow they'd say, "wait until you have to drive in it". I actually would rather drive in snow than rain. At least in the snow you can see and the other people drive slower in the snow too. I do not mind driving slow :) And while I'd never say I like shoveling snow, I work hard at not complaining because it means that I get to enjoy the beauty of a winter wonderland. Shoveling snow is way better than raking leaves or weeding.

This is all my opinion, of course. I love living in a place with four seasons and I'm super excited that we got snow this early in the year. It's very uncommon in the area I live.
