You invested in a professional photographer and have gorgeous images! That's awesome! And while I totally support sharing on Facebook and Instagram, do we really only want these photos to live on a screen forever? One of my favorite things is looking through photo albums. I love digital photography and digital images, but nothing beats holding them in my hands. I can barely bring myself to throw away bad photos (like when I printed the crop wrong or the color is bad)!! Probably my favorite part of my graduation experience was creating my slideshow and photo boards. I also have several scrapbooks :) The point is, photos are important and having them printed gives you several different ways to display and document your life.
1. Photo Albums Maybe you get an album where the pages are the photos or you get 4x6 prints and slide them into page protectors. Either way, you have a book that you can pull out to relive memories. 2. Frames Having a larger print to hang on a wall can be nice. My mom has always had a photo wall in her house with a mix of 5x7s and 8x10s displaying all of our family (grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins included!) 3. Canvases These are like framed prints but the look is a little bit different. Some people frame canvases and others let them hang as they are. 4. Ornaments This is a Christmas gift idea but it's a great way to memorialize your family and grandmothers in particular LOVE them! 5. "Yearbooks" I've never used them but I know people who have. Chatbooks are little booklets that are created from your Instagram feed. There is little to no work required on your part and you have your photos in a tangible way. Maybe I'm a little old fashioned, but I really recommend having 4x6 prints. Snapfish and Shutterfly offer penny prints on occasion so you can get a ton of prints for really cheap. While I don't recommend places like that for large prints you want to hang on your wall, they are perfect for those small photos. If you are doing larger prints, albums, or canvases, I'd recommend going through a photo lab. I'd be happy to talk to you about that if you're interested! Do you have photo albums from when you were a kid? If not, do you wish that you did?

Hi! I'm Sarah!
I am a natural light portrait photographer. I've been taking photos since 2014 and would eat a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch everyday if I could. Thank you so much for stopping by. I blog about sessions, things I'm learning, stuff in my life, and information for YOU, my client. If you like what you see around the site, I'd love to work with you! I'd also love to connect with you on Instagram. I'm @sarah_jayne_photo :) Archives
