Things To Celebrate Through The Rest Of March

I don't know about you but I think we all need more celebration in our lives. Did you know that there are multiple things to celebrate every single day and that people have complied them into lists? I did know it in theory, but I never put in the time to do anything with the knowledge. That is going to change.
Everyone knows about St. Patrick's Day (but not necessarily about the man) and many know about Pi(e) Day, but there are a lot of other fun (and funny) days to celebrate in March! I've picked one for each day, but most days have at least three things. I tried to pick things that fit well for activities to do with your kids that are fun and/or educational!
  • March 12th -  Plant a Flower Day. It might be too early to plant outside, but you could certainly plant an indoor flower.
  • March 13th - Good Samaritan Day. Do something kind for someone.
  • March 14th - Pi(e) Day. I recommend making one as a family, but if you're short on time, buy one and eat it as a family!
  • March 15th - Napping Day. Or at the very least take an hour for rest.
  • March 16th - Panda Day. Learn about pandas, do a panda activity, wear only black and white... so many fun options!
  • March 17th - St. Patrick's Day. The color green and corned beef are obvious but you could look into who St. Patrick was and what he did to get his own day. It's quite inspiring.
  • March 18th - Sloppy Joe Day. Dinner is planned for you.
  • March 19th - Let's Laugh Day. Make it a point to laugh today.
  • March 20th - Spring Begins (for 2021)
  • March 21st - Common Courtesy Day & World Down Syndrome Day. Put an emphasis on learning what common courtesy is with your kids and you can also teach them about Down Syndrome.
  • March 22nd - Goof Off Day. Be silly and let things go today!
  • March 23rd - Puppy Day. All the same ideas from panda day apply. If you have a dog, try making it a treat!
  • March 24th - Cheesecake Day. Another day where you can bake together or eat it together if it is pre-purchased.
  • March 25th - Tolkein Reading Day. My dad joked about reading all of Lord of The Rings in one day. There isn't much for this day but you could always pull something from another day to celebrate today!
  • March 26th - Spinach Day. I know, why would we celebrate spinach? I look at things from the perspective of doing things together and you can make dishes that include spinach. Dinner planned and something to do with your kiddos! Win-win.
  • March 27th - Scribble Day. Just color to color without worrying about perfection. Take blank paper and scribble or go outside and do sidewalk chalk!
  • March 28th - Something On A Stick Day. This could get dark fast if I asked my brothers :) Since it's very open-ended, you have a lot of options. Some ideas: make a pinwheel, make and eat a popcicle, play with a pogo stick, go fishing...
  • March 29th - Vietnam War Veterans Day. My granddad was a pilot in the Vietnam War. If you have older kids, take some time to learn about the war and maybe see if you can hear stories from the men who fought in it.
  • March 30th - Take A Walk In The Park Day. Good exercise to work off all the food we've been eating this month :) Enjoy the lovely weather!
  • March 31st - Crayon Day. I think it would be fun to only use crayons to write today. But you could also just color a picture.

I hope you found some fun things to celebrate this month! What are you going to do? If you want to see the full lists, you can by clicking here. Come back and share your experiences with me or tag me on Instagram @sarah_jayne_photo so I can see how it went!!!

    Hi! I'm Sarah!

I am a natural light portrait photographer. I've been taking photos since 2014 and would eat a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch everyday if I could. Thank you so much for stopping by. I blog about sessions, things I'm learning, stuff in my life, and information for YOU, my client. If you like what you see around the site, I'd love to work with you! I'd also love to connect with you on Instagram. I'm @sarah_jayne_photo :)
