It kind of feels like my head is spinning and swirling with all that's gone on and how my next few months are shaping up. April was really good, don't get me wrong, but it was FULL and I've accidentally planned at least one thing each Saturday April-June!!! Ooops! But it will be great :) I also have some news about this website and blog so keep reading!
Life Update Oh my word, April was WILD! I spent about two weeks with almost no breathing room between scheduled things and then having a bunch of catalogues coming in and me being the only editor available to work on them! Which is good for business but made for some interesting weeks. The last tw0 days of March we did our Great Basement Reshuffle. All the shelves got put in their new locations and then my mom and I got all the books put onto the bookshelves. We are still working on getting the storage shelves organized but the basement project is 95% finished and it went so well! Then the first day of April we had a dumpster delivered and we did a massive clean-out of the barn and the area right in front of it. We threw away a TON, took a bunch to the burn pile, and sent a pile to the scrap yard! This was also Easter week so we had two services during the week, I went to the Easter fair with my friend and my nieces' and nephews', I babysat, edited, and made cookies for Easter. (I made copycat Lofthouse cookies which honestly just tasted like sour cream cookies but the frosting was DEAD ON and so good! I made vanilla and lemon.) I would not do something like the basement and dumpster again in the same week but we did it and it worked out. The week after Easter my mom was gone for a week and I was on for everything! Meals, chores, errands... plus babysitting and editing and some plans I had with friends. It was a good but very busy week. She got back and then I went to spend two days with a friend who needed some help while her husband was out of town. We had a fun time and I just enjoyed being with them since I don't get to see them very much. We went to a comedy show fundraiser that was very good (this bit about the fridge had my mom and grandmother dying because this is their life!). I went to two musicals - my nieces' and nephews' school musical and then a local high school to see High School Musical - visited Frankenmuth, and helped prep and then attended my friend's bridal shower! Like I said, lots going on this month and so much fun, life-giving stuff but it's been a whirlwind! Business Update I have decided that I am leaving Weebly as my website host. I'm sad but it's past time. However, I am probably not able to move my blog and I have EIGHT YEARS of posts here! So that means a few things:
