I would say that April has been a month of extremes. I had a great time in Grand Rapids, then a very hard week with lots of bad news, then Easter and some wonderful small blessings. I spring cleaned my room (I'm weird in that I always look forward to that) so my room is clean and fresh and I read some really good books this month. Read on for more details and updates!
Life Update Looking back over April, I'm very pleased with this month. There were some rough things that happened - I have friends whose lives are falling apart and my grandmother is facing a big surgery - but I've also gotten to see a lot of beauty and little blessings that feel like God saying, "I'm here and I see you". I got to go visit my friend in Grand Rapids and we had so much fun! Hiking (including a stretch on Lake Michigan!), baking, thrifting, and watching some movies that we both love. A unique experience was attending a chapel service at Cornerstone University where I got to hear their praise band AND their wind symphonic band play together (that was amazing!) and the speaker was Ryan Bomberger, someone I'd never heard of but I love his story and mission! He gave a powerful speech. Concordia University Ann Arbor is mostly closing this year, and one of my brother's old teammates is a senior on their baseball team. I decided I wanted to go see a game and ended up getting to see two! They are a good team (the boy we know is great!) and I had fun watching local baseball again. I'm glad the weather cooperated on the days I was free. Easter was wonderful. Especially falling in the middle of some heaviness, remembering that we have hope because Jesus rose from the grave is such a beautiful thing. I did not do anything off my Fun Things To Do board this month but I did do lots of fun things so I'm giving myself half credit :) I'm historically really bad at doing things just for me, so this is quite a stretching and growing experience for me. Business Update Booking is open for my Spring Novella Sessions! There are only a few spots left, so if you were hoping to participate, don't wait! One of these sessions would be a great Mother's Day gift if you're still looking for something. I've had people purchase sessions for gifts before and I'm happy to provide you with gift certificates if you would like. Grab your session today! Not something you need right now? Pass the info on to a friend who would be interested! Word of mouth is how I run this business plus, people like to get referrals from their friends. I hope you had a great April, a happy Easter, and are enjoying spring. I'd love to hear, what is one good thing from this past month? What have you been loving?
