The Last Bit Of Summer

There is not enough summer. I'm all about winter but summer is the time for trips and seeing people and there is not enough time! I have some fun things that will help summer go out with style in August!

We're starting off the month with my friend's wedding! My 19 year-old friend is getting married and, while that is a little hard to wrap my head around, I'm so happy and excited for her! I haven't been to many weddings but I think this one is going to be a lot of fun AND it's in Frankenmuth, which I love!

On my mom's side of the family, we have a family gathering every year and it's in August. They kindly changed the weekend for us since we had the wedding, but it's a lot of people at my grandmother's house for the weekend! It's the time I know I'll see my cousins in August, so that's my favorite part.

I have a couple of things I want to get planned with friends this month but haven't gotten on the calendar yet. One is going tubing down a river in Ann Arbor. There is a river that you can float down on a tube and it sounds so relaxing! The other is a girls' trip with my friend Liesl, her mom and sister, and my mom to a pie shop in Detroit and the Belle Isle Aquarium. I've been wanting to go to the aquarium for a few years now. I'm super excited about both of these things.

Looking at the business side of things, I am hoping to make significant progress on putting together style guides for each of my session offerings with the new A&J Canva templates I got! I'm really excited to get these ready for my clients so that they can have curated information specific to their type of session. The other thing I want to do is start setting up Dubsado. Yep, I did it! I am so excited for what this software is going to mean for my business and my clients. I can't wait to dive in. It's going to be a learning curve and I'm sure I'll be tweaking over time, but having it is going to be a game changer.
