The Height of Summer // July 2025

It's the weirdest thing. For some reason, I always feel like summer is starting to end when July rolls around when, really, it is the height of summer! I hope it won't be hot like the end of June. Yuck! But I've got some big things I'm looking forward to this month and I can't wait to see what else comes up. 

One of the obvious things about July is the 4th. We will have family over and then we are planning to attend a fireworks show that some friends of ours do. It's pretty amazing for a non-organization like a city. But I have a lot of other fun things planned as well. 

Personal 
I'd like to keep working on the "dates with myself" days. But if they don't work out, I have two "self-care" events planned so I'm not too worried about it. My other plans are:

• A movie night with friends. Still working our way through Barbie movies with her girls :) Up next is Fairytopia!
  
• Maybe paddleboarding. I'll go solo if I have to but my friend I usually go with is in town for just a bit longer so we'd like to try and go together. 
  
• A day trip to Grand Rapids for book related things. I'm really, REALLY excited for this because it is kind of a stretch for me. I don't usually do things like this and so I'm excited that I actually pulled the trigger on going and now I'm excited to meet authors whose books I love!
  
• A brief solo trip just to recharge and refresh. I'll be going to spend a few days in a place I love, visiting an attraction I've been wanting to see, and just decompressing after a stressful event. Looking forward to this is going to help me get through that. 
  

Business
I'd really like to get to at least one location. I'm not sure why this is so hard, so I may have to pair it with a "date" day in order for it to happen. The other thing I need to work on is figuring out emailing. I need to find someone who understands the rules and how to set things up because I'm getting nowhere fast and kind of just want to give up to be honest, but that's not really a viable option.
