The end of the year is rapidly approaching! At this point, I'm just ready to be done with election stuff. Anyone else? I think the only people who like this anymore are the people who's jobs are in politics :) Anyway... I digress. October was a busy and fun month. Let's dive in! I have a HUGE praise to report in the fact that my family is experiencing reconciliation in a relationship that we thought was lost to us for good. There has been repentance and forgiveness and we are now laying the foundation to rebuild. It's been incredible and we are very thankful!
Our first quiz of the 24-25 school year was this month. The boys did quite well; I was very impressed. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect after having not done anything for so many months, getting a later start to practicing, and they've only had one year of experience. But it was good and we had fun! Speaking of fun... my Tigers had just the best end to the season I could have ever asked for! The final six or so weeks were just incredible. Movie-worthy and historical. We had a winning season and that was really what I was hoping for but we also made it eight games into the postseason! It was a roller coaster and too intense at some moments but it's also so exciting to see what we have and know that it *should* get better from here. To update on my goals from the beginning of the month, I did make some treats (pumpkin snickerdoodles that got RAVE reviews from everyone who ate them), the banquet went very well, and my friend's wedding day was beautiful. I discovered that I actually enjoy weddings when I know more people than just the bride/groom and their family :) I also got to capture the getting ready time for my friend. I also did a super sweet newborn session and took some promo photos for doing fall Novella sessions next year. I was not able to get to the studios so I hope to make that a priority soon. I didn't mention this because it happened on the last day of September but we have cows now! A mama and baby named Sassy and Shadow. The mama will be having another calf in the spring and it will be named Chance. Does anyone know where we got those names? I'll give you a hint: they are characters in a movie. Last but not least, I got to spend three days in Frankenmuth with friends while their parents went to a conference. I love these times I get to be with them. We don't see them often and they're growing up so fast. (I also like the change of scenery of being somewhere else if I'm being completely honest :) How was your October? I hope you are enjoying some cooler weather and fall activities!
