The 12 Rules Of Wisdom

My mom likes to put up quotes and things around the house and a recent addition is entitled "12 Rules of Wisdom". It's light and cute, but like many things, there is actually a lot of truth to it.

1. There is no key to happiness - the door is always open.
   
2. Silence is often misinterpreted, but never misquoted.
   
3. Count your blessings.
   
4. Faith is the ability to not panic.
   
5. Laugh every day, it's like inner jogging.
   
6. If you pray... don't worry.
   
7. Be flexible.
   
8. THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS IN YOUR HOME ARE THE PEOPLE!
   
9. When you get tangled up in your problems, be still and let God untangle the knot.
   
10. A grudge is a heavy thing to carry.
    
11. It's okay to sit on your pity pot every now and then. Just be sure to flush when you're done
    
12. Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others thing you are.
