That's A Wrap On March

It's time to accept that winter is over and spring is here. I wonder if it would be easier for me to let winter go if we actually had decent winters around here. There are a few things I'm looking forward to this spring so that helps. But we are here to talk about what happened in March!
March ended up being PACKED with events. I'm very pleased with how it went, even though some things didn't go as planned.

Personal
  • Celebrate my birthday. I got to do both of my birthday dinners this month and they were very yummy :) I also did get over to the Matthei Botanical Gardens Conservatory and it blew my mind! So many amazing plants. God is so creative, that's for sure. And I can't wait to go back when the outside gardens are blooming to explore them as well!
  • Make a new recipe. I made this absolutely delicious chicken alfredo roll-up dish (and homemade alfredo sauce) and rosemary focaccia bread for dinner one day. It was a lot of work but so worth it. I also made a spur-of-the-moment chocolate pie for Pi Day. (The filling tastes just like chocolate pudding and I think could be used as such).
  • Enjoy baseball. I actually haven't gotten to listen to very many games. Spring Training games are not on the radio every day and even when they are, I've had scheduling conflicts that have prevented me from listening. But the regular season is coming soon!

Business
  • Go through a KJ Course. I redid the Lighting & Location Course and it was really good to get that refresher. I have a new camera and a few new lenses since I last did the course so I have been playing around with my new capabilities.
  • Promote the SJP Spokesmodel Team. I go in-depth on how all that went in this post.

Other
  • I went to a trivia fundraiser night at the church I've been attending. My team did not do well but it was fun. (The first two categories were "Throwback Music" and "Sitcoms". I was zero help for those.)
  • My brothers and I got to see the Detroit Symphony Orchestra perform! It was a last-minute kind of thing (which stress me out to no end) but I'm so glad we took the opportunity.
  • We celebrated one year of living on the farm!
  • I got to go to a birthday party for one of my friends. Adults don't usually do "birthday parties" so it was an extra special fun treat!
  • My mom and I went to a bridal shower. We didn't know we were invited to the wedding until the shower invite came! (We have had several important pieces of mail never show up since we've lived out here.) It was very lovely.
  • A friend of mine was in town for a wedding and a group got together to have brunch with her while she was here. She had an ulterior motive for the get-together... she told us all that she's expecting her first child! It was quite the wonderful surprise :)
  • I started going to a Bible study. I've only been a few times but halfway through the first night, I already couldn't wait to go back. This just might be what I've been hoping and praying for. I'm very excited and hopeful, so much so that it almost scares me. The people are so nice and the wisdom shared is amazing and I love how they do their study. It's just wonderful!
  • SNOW! We had a couple of big snows and it was AMAZING!!!!

I told you a lot happened in March! It was a great month and I'm so satisfied with it. I'm also very pleased that I'm still doing well with my four resolutions for the year. Not perfect by any means, but they are still going.

How was your March? How has your 2023 been so far? What has been good and what has been challenging?
