Months seem very short. It feels like I just wrote June's intro post! We have passed into the second half of the year and I live in a compartmentalized world. There is my daily life and immediate surroundings that are good and improving! Then there is the world at large and my country that is (seemingly) getting worse as each day passes. Let's just say the Bible is coming alive in a new way :) My family and I just got back from a little weekend trip to the west side of Michigan and my uncle and one of my cousins is here visiting!!! We are making plans for my brother's graduation party which includes getting the wallets and invites ordered. They look so good!!! We also found all the graduation information that my mom had collected from my party and my other brother's party. It's been missing for a while and it was going to be total guesswork if we could not find it but praise the Lord we did!
That's kind of recap and current life. So what's coming up? Our friend group (the Cohort) is planning a beach day, I'll be attending a virtual baby shower, and I'll continue meeting with a couple friends for Bible study and with my life group. My young adult group, SOZO, goes back IN PERSON this month and I could not be more excited!! Fourth of July will certainly be different this year and I'm going to miss the parade but I think I'm more excited and thankful for this holiday than I've maybe ever been before. This year has really made me appreciate and be grateful for the sacrifices made and the blessings of this country. It's imperfect and has its blemishes in the past but there is no better place to live on earth and I'm grateful. It's a much more chill month than it was going to be but that's how we're rolling this year. The nice thing about a new month is it is full of promise and hope and anything could happen! Hopefully good things :)
