Spring Novella Sessions Are LIVE // 2025

I am so excited to be offering Spring Novella Sessions at Terraces Flower Farm this year! Your family will be charmed by the experience of this lovely place so if you've been thinking about getting your family photos updated and want to do something fun at the same time, you will want to keep reading!

Novella Sessions are what other photographers call "Midi Sessions". They are the sweet spot for a lot of children. Where 1o or 15 minute mini sessions can be stressful because they are rushed and don't allow time for the kids to warm up, full hour sessions can be problematic on the other side where kids are done taking photos and are no longer cooperating. You know your kids best and some kids do very well with either of these options, but for many, this 25 minute middle ground is perfect. Not too rushed but not too long either. Let's be honest, many husbands prefer them too :)

But guess what! Photos are not limited to families! Maybe you are graduating and want to commemorate the event. Or you have a friend group that wants to do something fun together. Maybe you are a business owner who needs some new content photos or you want updated images of your team. Really, the options are almost limitless. (I am not sure dogs are permitted so we would have to check with the owner first if you wanted to bring a pet).

One of my favorite elements of offering these sessions here in particularly is that you can add to the experience by picking flowers as a family! Whether you do U-pick or choose one of the premade bouquets, you can take home a piece of the beauty to enjoy while you wait for your photos :) And no, I don't get anything by encouraging this. I'm just here to help you make memories and I think flower picking is a great one :) You can do it at the end of your session or we can incorporate it into the photos. It's your choice and one that I am happy to talk through with you.
