Snow Is In The Air (I Hope)

We got some flurries in November, so there has been snow in the air. Here's hoping for a lot more! The decorations are up, the Christmas music is going, and I am ready for another wonderful Christmas season!

This was our last year as a family of five decorating together. This is our first year sharing my brother with another family for the holidays. I'm not gonna lie and say it's not been a little bit hard. I know that this is how things *should* be, but it's still hard. I joke and say that I've found the first con to homeschooling - the eventual break up of the family is a lot harder!

Something that I think is so fun about December is that so much ends up happening that you don't even know about when you start the month! Sure, every month has surprises, but I feel like December has more than normal. One thing that isn't in my goals list that I'm excited about is that I get to start watching a little boy again after almost a year off! It's now going to be him and his little sister. It's going to be great!

Personal

• Girls Movie Night. I discovered last year that a friend and I share a love for a little-known Christmas movie, The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year. We wanted to share it with the other girls in our Bible study but it didn't happen. I'm hoping to have it this year, but it's entirely possible that it might have to move to January.
  
• Cookies with my nieces and nephews.. My friend makes cookies each year with her kids and now that they live here, I can join in!
  
• Read Deck The Halls (And Bring A Hammer). This serial story by Hannah Currie is something I look forward to reading every December! It's so much fun! I honestly hope she does something with these characters in the future.
  

Business
This is a very light time of year. I may get an editing job, but honestly, most photographers are not shooting much in December. So I probably won't be taking photos either. What I do need to do is look into Substack for my newsletter but with December being... well, December, that might be a more realistic goal for January. We shall see.


Okay, I want to know... what did you buy this Black Friday? I got a pair of boots and my next Flower Letter subscription for myself and I got the KJ Mobile Presets for my Instagram (yes, I will use it for my personal photos but if I didn't have the business, I don't think I'd buy them, so they're a business purchase :) Your turn!
