Podcasts I Enjoy (And How To Listen)

I'm one of those people who aspires to be an avid podcast listener but my intentions don't live up to reality. However, I do have a few podcasts that I really enjoy, as well as some that I hope to get into in the future. I hope you find some gems here!

For Photographers/Business Owners

• Life With Amy & Jordan. They have not uploaded in a long time and the show is not really about being photographers and business owners but I include it here because they are both, so their thoughts on life directly impact how they run their business. They are such a sweet, fun couple!
  
• The Business Journey Podcast with Rebecca Rice. This is brand new show and Rebecca is a new voice to me but as a family photographer, I especially value her insights because that's what I shoot! However, much of what she says would be valued information to small business owners of many industries and of course, photographers at large.
  
• The Legacy Podcast with Katelyn James. She has also not uploaded in over a year but all her education is phenomenal so you would not be remiss to keep this handy in case it ever gets going again. Katelyn is so good at being open about her life and business.
  

For Fun

• 321 Improv. I've seen these guys a couple times in-person and they are just so funny!!! Their conversations can be bizarre and go all over the place but you're guaranteed a laugh.
  
• The Friendship Onion. The fellows who played Merry& Pippin in The Lord Of The Rings have a podcast! Really, the best part is listening to their accents for an hour at a time :) They discuss a wide range of topics (of course LOTR is a large portion) and they can be quite funny. (WARNING: there is occasional swearing on this show. I may not be a long-term listener due to that but each person has to make their own decisions.)
  
• The Anthem Lights Show. This is probably a really niche podcast but the guys of the band Anthem Lights had a podcast for a couple years (it has not been updated in several years) and I used to laugh so hard!!! Their dynamic is just hilarious but I am a fan of their music so I might be biased. If you just want to listen to four friends talk and interact to get some laughs, check this one out! I'm hopeful they'll revive it again at some point.
  

Faith & Life

• Verity with Phylicia Masonheimer. I think it's time I "fessed up" and said I'm a fangirl of Phylicia. I love her work and how she goes about speaking truth into the world. She's been a huge influence in my life and her podcast is one that I try to keep up on! She mostly focuses on spiritual things, with occasional Q&A's thrown in, and her seasons generally have a series or theme to them.
  
• Becoming Disciples with Lisa Hensley. This started as a join podcast between Lisa and Phylicia and when Phylicia left because she could not do the podcast anymore, I stopped listening but not because it was bad! I just was mostly there for Phylicia :) Lisa is also an excellent teacher and if you go far enough back, you can hear the join episodes when it was Uniquely Woman.
  
• Bright & Bubbly with Tori and Elizabeth. Shameless plug for my friend!!! During quarantine, my friend Elizabeth started a podcast with another friend of hers and it is still going strong! It's quite an eclectic collection of shows but they talk about music, books, life, past, present, faith, trials, AND they often have guests on their show! 
  
• The Elisabeth Elliot Show. My love for all things Elisabeth Elliot is another not-so-secret fact :) My cousin knows this and thoughtfully sent me some episodes of her podcast, which is really just her collected talks put into the podcast framework. There is something unbelievably cool about hearing voices and/or seeing people from the past. It makes them more real somehow.
