Over The Hump Of 2021

And just like that, we are more than halfway through 2021! Is it just me or is time moving faster again? For Americans, the 4th of July is the event of the month (and of the summer) but there are a lot of fun things that we can celebrate this month.

My 4th of July weekend is full of fun stuff!! Lots of time with friends and it is sure to be full of laughs and good food too. I am hoping to go on a short trip with one of my long-time friends and maybe do some activities with my Bright Lights girls. Nothing is official though yet. Mostly I want to slow the summer down! Anyone else?

July 1st - National Gingersnap Day. There is a certain brand of ginger cookie that is my absolute favorite. Check out Anna's Ginger Thins. They might not exactly be gingersnaps but they are oh so good.
July 2nd - I guess this is a "Make-Your-Own-Day" because the only thing is related to alcohol so I'm not putting it in here.
July 3rd - Hop-A-Park Day. Do you have parks you've wanted to explore and just haven't made the time. Here's your day.
July 4th - INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!!! Maybe this year we'll think on how close we are to losing our freedoms. I'll be celebrating with family and attending a fireworks show that our friends put on.
July 5th - National Hawaii Day. Luau anyone?
July 6th - National Fried Chicken Day. I love how many days you can plan dinner by the national day :) Homemade or KFC?
July 7th - National Father/Daughter Take A Walk Day. Exercise and family time in one day.
July 8th - National Freezer Pop Day. For those hot July days. What's your favorite flavor?
July 9th - National Sugar Cookie Day. I had a soft sugar cookie recently and it was so good!
July 10th - National Kitten Day. They're so cute!!!
July 11th - National 7-11 Day. I often forget about this but when I remember, I go grab my free slushie.
July 12th - National Simplicity Day. We could see how simply we could do things on this day. Or only do simple things.
July 13th - National French Fry Day. Who has the best fries? I really like Wendy's and Chick-fil-A fries.
July 14th - National Tape Measure Day. My little brother used to call tape measures "my turns". I think it was because he always wanted my grandpa's and Grandpa would say, "no, it's my turn to use this." It was super cute.
July 15th - National I Love Horses Day. I still appreciate the beauty of horses but I am a little cautious of how powerful they are.
July 16th - National Corn Fritters Day. My dad loves the corn fritters from White Fence Farm. Other than that, I've never had them.
July 17th - World Emoji Day. What's your favorite emoji? I really like the ones that are laughing and crying at the same time.
July 18th - National Sour Candy Day. This might be my brother's favorite day. Are you a sour candy person? What's your favorite?
July 19th - National Get Out Of The Dog House Day (third Monday in July). If you're in the dog house, you can finally get out of it!! :)
July 20th - National Moon Day. I have been entranced by the moon for years. It's simply stunning and I love looking at it.
July 21st - National Junk Food Day. I like how there are dozens of days that are some kind of junk food but we still have to have a generic junk food day. I guess this is a day where everyone can enjoy their favorite junk food.
July 22nd - National Hammock Day. I've been lying in our hammock to work on getting a slow tan so I don't burn.
July 23rd - Gorgeous Grandma Day. Is this a day for grandmas to dress up or for us to tell them how gorgeous they are?
July 24th - National Cousins Day. Cousins are special.
July 25th - National Merry Go Round Day. There are still a few parks that have merry go rounds and we have one near our house. I can't do them with my eyes open anymore though.
July 26th - National Aunt & Uncles Day. Celebrate the people who gave us our special cousins :)
July 27th - National Creme Brulee Day. I've never had one but I know about them thanks to Zeke from High School Musical ;)
July 28th - National Waterpark Day. At this point in the month, we probably desperately need the cool off.
July 29th - National Lipstick Day. Bold or natural? What is your favorite brand?
July 30th - National Father-In-Law Day. I like that there is a day to celebrate in-laws since the jokes and stereotypes are that there are awful relationships with the in-laws.
July 31st - National Avocado Day. A healthy day that I'm excited to celebrate. "An avocado. Thanks".
