Month Six Of 2021

It feels like we skipped spring here in Michigan. Sure, we had the beautiful flowers but the spring weather - you know, 60s and 70s? - was hardly here. The year is almost halfway over, can you believe it?

What I can't believe is how busy my June got! Of course it is the season of graduation parties, school is out, and we get to celebrate the men in our lives with Father's Day. I hope I can start working on my summer bucket list in the middle of everything else!

• June 1st - Okay, there are just too many good things for this day that I had to do several! We have National Pen Pal Day (write someone a letter!!!), National Nail Polish Day and National Go Barefoot Day (and your feet look great if you paint your toes!), AND National Hazelnut Cake Day. I've never had hazelnut cake but it sounds amazing.
• June 2nd - National Running Day. I won't be celebrating unless it is the running on Wii Fit.
• June 3rd - National Egg Day. I eat eggs for lunch all the time. Yummy egg burritos.
• June 4th - Calling all cat lovers! It's National Hug Your Cat Day.
• June 5th - Why is National Gingerbread Day in June? Shouldn't it be in November or December?
• June 6th - It's D-Day, folks!!!! It's also National Drive-In Movie Day and going to a drive-in movie is on my summer bucket list.
• June 7th - This made me laugh!!!! It's National VCR Day. We actually still have one. Easier to celebrate is National Chocolate Ice Cream Day.
• June 8th - National Best Friend Day. If you can't spend time with your besties, give them a call or at least send a text.
• June 9th - National Donald Duck Day. I guess he's quite popular.
• June 10th - National Herbs and Spices Day. I like to use my herbs and spices when I cook.
• June 11th - National Corn On The Cob Day. It's one of the ultimate foods of summer.
• June 12th - National Peanut Butter Cookie Day. Put chocolate in there and it's like a Reeses's Peanut Butter Cup cookie!
• June 13th - National Weed Your Garden Day. Does making it a national day make it more fun? I doubt it.
• June 14th - National Flag Day. Fly those flags!
• June 15th - Nature Photography Day. There is still a soft spot in my heart for nature photography. Stunning landscapes, gorgeous flowers, amazing sunsets!
• June 16th - National Fudge Day. That's it. Sander's Bumpy Cake Fudge is tied with Dark Chocolate Fudge for my favorite fudges.
• June 17th - National Mascot Day. Who is your favorite? Mine is Paws of the Detroit Tigers. Surprised?
• June 18th - National Flip-Flop Day (third Friday in June). If I'm not barefoot in the summer then I'm wearing flip-flops. I love my feet being free!
• June 19th - National Garfield the Cat Day. My dad and brothers love the Garfield comics.
• June 20th - National Vanilla Milkshake Day. Do you like yours straight or with yummy things added to it?
• June 21st - National Selfie Day. Maybe I'll practice my selfie game, since I'm very bad at them.
• June 22nd - National Onion Rings Day. Bloomin' Onion, anyone?
• June 23rd - National Detroit-Style Pizza Day. I gotta be honest, I didn't know Detroit had its own style of pizza but cool! It's also National Pink Day for all the ladies.
• June 24th - National Handshake Day. Let's make handshakes cool again! (Last Thursday in June).
• June 25th - Dog lovers! Here's your day. It's National Take Your Dog To Work Day. (Friday after Father's Day).
• June 26th - National Chocolate Pudding Day. Best pudding ever, in my opinion :)
• June 27th - National Ice Cream Cake Day. I made an ice cream cake once. It was an experience but very delicious.
• June 28th - National Paul Bunyan Day. It's the best option for today. Do with it what you will.
• June 29th - National Camera Day. I like these photography-themed days this month!
• June 30th - Social Media Day. Let's celebrate by taking the day off!! Wouldn't that be funny?
