I'm trying a process to *hopefully* help my hair be less greasy and one of the days is a dry shampoo day. My family and I are trying to use better-for-you products and it's often hard to find ones that work well and are reasonably priced. Plus, I don't really want to add product to hair that I'm already fighting with. But there was a second solution offered. Cornstarch!!!!
Seriously, I've been blown away at how well this stuff works. [A word of warning: if you have dark hair (like me), PLEASE put cocoa powder in the cornstarch. I didn't the first time and my hair looked like I had gray dust in it. The cocoa powder helps it blend into darker hair]. It's simple and easy. I mixed equal amounts of cornstarch and cocoa in a little container and then I just put a bit in my hands and rub it into my hair. I do this over the tub because the mixture does fall off your hands as you're doing it. This is such a revelation for me because now I have a way to fix my hair quickly if I don't want to deal with wet hair!!! I am thrilled to have such an easy dry shampoo alternative. I have a whole bunch of life hack cards from an old day-by-day calendar. Would you like to see more posts like this? (Leave me a comment if you want to know about the process I'm using on my hair. I'd be more than happy to share!)
