January 2022 Is In The Books

And I wish outside looked like that!!! I'm calling January over because I won't be accomplishing all that much more in this last day :) But I feel really good with what I did get done this month! I had several goals for January and I got them all done, and then some!

This month, while I was off social media, I wanted to start planning ahead with my posts. I am using PLANN to do that. I got all of February planned out, plus stacking up several drafts to pull out if I don't have anything else to post. Having a queue of IG posts feels SO GOOD!!! I'm hoping I can keep in front of it all year.

My dad and I also got my taxes done!!!!!!! My dad does his own and helps all three of us kids with ours, so in essence, he has four sets of taxes to do and we will be slightly busy in March, so January it was! And now I don't have to worry about it again all year!

Personally, I needed to finish my Tigers scrapbook from last season and I had a photo book that was unfinished and both needed to be complete so they can be packed with like items. I've done 10 seasons of Tigers scrapbooks and I'm done. I just don't have the time to keep it up and it becomes a stress-causing thing rather than a joy-causing thing so I'm giving it the boot. It will definitely be weird to not be doing it though.

Something I was not planning to do this month but needed done was cataloguing all my books. I did not get every single one, because some are packed in boxes in the attic or are series that are complete and I won't need to know that I have, but I wanted to know what I have and don't have so that when I'm out at bookstores, I know what to look for! I had 202 entries in my list, just from my bedroom, and each entry is just a series, so, for example, my nine Keeper of the Lost Cities books is one entry. I probably have between 300 and 400 books that are just mine! That's INSANE! (I do have to say that there are a handful that my brothers co-own, but still). However, I saw a meme that I'm claiming that says, "It's not hoarding if it's books." :) Can I get an "amen"?

A lot of work has happened at the farm and a lot has been packed up here. Some boxes have already gone and it helps things here at the house so much! But life is definitely weird. It's like it's my house but not my house at the same time.
