I've Officially Become An Adult

How do you know when you've crossed the line to being an official adult? Is it when you turn 18? What about 21? Or maybe 25 when you can rent a car? While these are all certainly milestones in the adulthood journey, I think it's not a number but a mindset shift. And I've officially crossed it !

What is this mindset shift? It's the moment you realize that boring things make you extraordinary happy. Like cookie scoops and dusting tips :)

I got one of those cookie dough scoops this year with the squeeze release and it makes me inordinately happy. Like, I probably should be concerned at how happy this makes me. I use it all the time for baking and for more things than just cookies! How did I live for this long without one, is what I want to know.

The other thing is a dusting technique that a friend's mom just told me about. Dusting ceiling fans is always challenging. How do you avoid dropping dust all over the place? This topic came up when I was with this lady and she told me to take an old pillowcase and put it over the blade and drag it off. All the dust falls into the bottom of the case!!!!! Isn't that genius?! I got SO excited and again, I feel slightly concerned at just how excited this made me. So I've decided that I've officially become an adult.

When I think that maybe my life is too boring if these things get me so excited, I just think that it's reminiscent of the child-like wonder a toddler has for the world and I feel better :)
