It Feels Like Summer // June 2023

The heat has appeared like THAT! I may feel like I'm melting but I'm getting a great tan, so I'm happy about that development. I can't believe it is already June but this is going to be a great summer and I am so excited for the things that are ahead. I love having things to look forward to :)

While June is shaping up to be a full month, I am hoping that it won't be nearly as crazy as May. Only time will tell of course. I am very excited about the things I have planned and about my summer plans in general!

Personal

• Strawberry picking. Third year's the charm??? I've been trying to go strawberry picking for years now and I'm really hoping to do it this year.
• Girls' day. FINALLY!!!! Last summer my friend and I decided that the females in our families needed a girls' day and it's only just now happening. Schedules!!! It's going to be so fun!
• Graduation festivities. I have at least one grad party and I'm attending a graduation ceremony as well.
• VBS. I'm so excited to be doing VBS this year! I am the photographer again, which is a different experience but still fun.
• Stain the dresser. It didn't happen in May. We'll try June :)

Business

• Finish blog project. Weather permitting I will be done with this the second week of June and it will be good to have that completed.
• Put more effort into the editing side of my business. I've been wanting to get into private editing but felt stalled. I have a new avenue to pursue that I didn't have the time to do in May so that is a big thing for June.
• Finish KJ course. This particular course has VERY long lessons so I don't know if I'll be able to finish it but that's the goal.
• Write July newsletter. My monthly recaps are sort of mini versions of my quarterly newsletters but there is so much more in them! If you are not subscribed and want to be, you can sign up under the 'Contact' tab.

Summer Plans

• Go paddleboarding. I decided I wanted to do this near the end of last summer and I hope it lives up to my expectations.
• Frankenmuth day trip, part 2. My brothers and some friends and I went on a day trip to Frankenmuth a few years back but ran out of time to see/do all the things we wanted. We didn't make it back last summer so we are doing it this summer.
• Lots of quality time with friends. We still have some people who have never been out to the farm and we have other friends we want to have over just because. And I have friends I want to do things with so I will be making intentional time for relationships.
• Go to a Tigers game. It's Miguel Cabrera's last year and I want to see him play one more time. I"m considering going to the last game of the year but I haven't decided yet.
• Watch a movie at a drive-in theater. This has been a dream for a few years now but I didn't fully understand how the drive-in format worked and they have to play a movie I actually want (or am willing) to see.
