We have two months left in 2019! Anyone else shocked by that? I cannot believe we are already in November. They say time flies as you get older but I didn't know it would be going this fast by the time I was in my twenties :) Obviously, November's big claim to fame is Thanksgiving. I want to talk about being thankful. I sometimes feel like Thanksgiving gets lost in the shuffle between Halloween and Christmas and that makes me sad. We have so much to be thankful for and I always feel that before we head into Christmas (where we get things, even though that's not the main point), we should take time to really be grateful for what we already have.
I'm thankful for my health. Right now, I am dealing with some pain and irritation from a few minor things, but I'm healthy and I'm grateful because so many people aren't. I'm thankful for enough food to eat and clean water to drink. I'm thankful that I don't have to live in fear of bodily harm each and every day. I'm thankful for warm clothes and a good home. I'm thankful for all the blessings I've been given. I have my own room, full of things that belong to me. I know that I am rich beyond imagining to so many people in the world. This is not "first-world guilt" but I just really pause this time of year to remember and focus. What are you thankful for? Do you want to join me in an Instagram challenge? Let's try to post one thing per day that we are thankful for (you can double up on a day if you take a weekly day off like I do). The goal of this post is to be my monthly intro so I'll close with that. Besides Thanksgiving, I don't have a whole lot of unique things planned. I have two senior sessions today and tomorrow (which you will see next week) and another potential session or two of some sort (we are still working out the details). I'm still trying to see Maleficent 2 and I hope to get together with another friend to work on my new logo (and just see her, of course). I will be working on the KJ Business Collection steadily for the next while. I'm almost done with the content of Module 1 and it is fantastic! Then I have the homework section that will take some time too. I think that's it. What plans do you have for the month?

Hi! I'm Sarah!
I am a natural light portrait photographer. I've been taking photos since 2014 and would eat a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch everyday if I could. Thank you so much for stopping by. I blog about sessions, things I'm learning, stuff in my life, and information for YOU, my client. If you like what you see around the site, I'd love to work with you! I'd also love to connect with you on Instagram. I'm @sarah_jayne_photo :) Archives
