I Made It!!! // Reviewing October 2023

This month definitely flew by! Thankfully we had enough nice days that I was able to get my sessions in. All the businesses are going well and things are evening out a little bit, which is nice.

In some ways, this month turned out differently than I expected. One of those things was that I was thinking I'd have to miss most of the weeks of my Bible study and I only missed two. I also didn't get to have any bonfires, but that is due to rain as much as busyness.

Some fun things this month were the release of Undercover Princess (my copy just arrived), the surprise release of the second book in the series, getting a new Bible that I can take places, and baking again. There were several weeks when I was so busy I couldn't make anything and I was missing it. I made apple cider whoopie pies with a friend and apple cider doughnut loaf cake. We got cider and doughnuts one evening for family night from our favorite cider mill.

Personal

• End of the baseball season. Okay, so we technically went to the Tigers game in September, but the last game was October 1st. The game we went to was so good (a thumping of Cleveland is always a good time :) and the last game was very emotional. I did cry but it was also a great game.
  
• Banquet. It went very well. There were so many people, which is a little chaotic but it also means that they raised a lot of money. Processing went quickly too, thanks to us having less to do now that an accounting firm does most of it.
  
• Frankenmuth weekend. Mark and I went to see some of our friends play soccer and volleyball one Saturday and then my mom and I went back on Sunday to see other friends (same family, different people) and go to Bronner's. It was really fun to see all of them two days in a row!!!
  

Business

• My sessions went so well. The weather worked out for most of them and when it didn't, the rescheduled day was so much better! They were such fun sessions too. I love senior sessions especially!
  
• Wedding photography. Being the second photographer for one of Penny Ralene's weddings was a great experience. It was wonderful to meet her in person finally, and we had some good conversations on our drive there and back. I had fun, she was happy with my work, and I would do it again in the future.
  
• Farmer's markets. We have started getting orders for our welded iron floor grates, so things are picking up! It's very exciting.
  

It was a good month but I am looking forward to a more chill November for sure. How was your October?
