I Blinked // August 2023

Where did summer go?! And is it just me, or are summer's shrinking? I feel like school starts earlier every year and summer gets shorter. Whether it's all in my head or not, I'm feeling good about how I've spent this summer. How about you?

In my mind, even though most schools go back in August, I still feel like I have one month of summer left and I want to make the most of it! I didn't have a lot planned in July but we are changing that for August :)

Personal

• Kenna's birthday brunch. She's having a garden tea party themed birthday brunch and it's going to be so cute and fun! My brothers made the low tables for her :)
  
• Luke & Marissa's wedding. Another one of my "siblings" is getting married, less than a year after his brother! I'm super excited for them and, while I don't know Marissa super well, she seems awesome.
  
• Paddleboarding. I almost did this last month but it rained us out. I REALLY want to do it this month.
  
• Read borrowed books. A friend loaned me some books and I read one quickly but haven't gotten to the other two.
  
• Frankenmuth trip. Two years after part one, we are finally going back! It's crazy how much has changed since the last time in all of our lives but it's nice that we're all still friends.
  

Business

• Get family business website up and running. We decided on our course of action right before our visitors and then I had a full weekend so I'm just now getting to this. The goal is to have the basics in place by our "soft open".
  
• Work on making my new website look like I want it to. It's really a matter of getting over to my friend's house who knows how to do all the detail work. Wordpress is not for the faint of heart!
  
• "Soft open" for the family business. We are doing a local craft fair with a few products as our first limited release. We'll see what interest we get, what sells, and what doesn't, and maybe adjust some things from there.
  
• Finish my photo project. Rain and illness kept me from finishing it in July. I only need ONE MORE day!
  

It's much busier but I think it's doable and it's (mostly) fun! What are your plans for August? Any last hurrahs before the school year schedule kicks back in?
