It was about two months late but my brother finally got his graduation ceremony. In some ways, I'm glad it was outside because the light is so much better :) #nerdyphotographer No matter what happened, we were determined to have a ceremony, even if it was one we did ourselves at his party. Thankfully, due to the incredible hard work of our organizer, a local church allowed us to use their property and tent to hold our small ceremony. The Christian Home Educators of Michigan (CHEM) Class of 2020 was small to begin with. Due to the delay, we were down a few more kids who were already gone on to their next things. It definitely was more relaxed, informal, and intimate than was our experience the last two times, but it was really nice and special in it's own way. The speaker we had lined up still agreed to come (the same one who spoke at my graduation!) and the weather was excellent!! A little on the hot side but not raining and that's what matters.
Congratulations one last time, Mark!!! As someone pointed out at the graduation, these kids were born the year of 9/11 and are graduating the year of COVID. I wonder what God is going to do through these kids.
