Happy April!!!

We are 1/4th through the year! How has it been going for you?

I am having a much more productive year than the last previous couple of years. It took some time to figure out what I was doing, how to do it, and then garner the courage to actually attempt it.

It is April Fool's Day, also known in my world as don't-trust-anything-your-friends-say Day :) Are you and April Fool's pranker or not?

My big April goal/project is spring cleaning of my room. I often did a cleaning where I dusted my fan blades and tidied up, but last year I moved my bookshelf by my bed and my desk and I'm pretty sure, based on the amount of dust and cobwebs, that I hadn't moved them since they were put there in the last room rearrange! It was bad.

That decided it for me; I was going to do a major clean each spring, as soon as I can open my window. This even includes vacuuming my walls because apparently, dust clings to the paint on my walls.

The really weird thing? I actually like cleaning my room. I don't like cleaning the rest of the house, but for some reason my room is fun.

Outdoor photo sessions are beginning again, now that the weather is nicer, so I'm pretty excited to get back out there!

The other thing I'm doing is painting doors. Our bedroom doors and bathroom door all need a fresh coat of paint, and my dad asked if I'd do the front door as well. They're all white, so it's not hard to add one more :)

Lots of home stuff this month but I'm sure there will be plenty of photography things that pop up! I'm participating in ConverKit's Landing Page Challenge, to work on making a great newsletter for you, so hopefully that will go well! Almost everything I do in this business is a first for me. I have to learn it all!!
