Gratitude // Pt. 1

Every November, I challenge myself to find at least one thing each day that I am thankful for. I'm practicing looking for blessings and gifts in even the smallest of places. It's stretching and humbling and I would like to make it a year-long habit, eventually. We're halfway through the month, so I am sharing what I have so far.

• Water drops on the end of pine needles
• amazing sunset horizons at dusk
• going to Verity
• seeing beauty in a storm
• stormy sunsets
• low clouds and a high moon
• a section of driveway being made concrete
• a fast Denny's experience and an awesome waiter
• my back feeling better without needing the chiropractor
• going to Greenroom with Margaret
• my eyes improving
• discovering new musicians
• new books releasing
• skittering leaves and slow falling leaves
• funny movies
• phone hotspots
• a day to read
• my relationship with my cousin

You'll notice that there are more than 14 things on this list. Some days I find many things to be thankful for. Other days, I struggle to find even one. It balances itself out.
