Getting Excited For Easter

I know that we're still in the midst of Lent, but Easter is my favorite holiday and I'm getting excited. I'm excited to have an Easter service again. I never thought I wouldn't get to go to church on Easter.

Most years churches have Easter fairs and there are all kinds of activities planned. That did not happen last year and it likely won't happen this year, but you can still give your kids a fun Easter experience at home!

Some things to do together are:

• Bake. Sour cream cookies are soft and delicious and you can make white frosting, dye it, and decorate to your heart's content. Don't forget the sprinkles! If you can get cookie cutters, fun shapes like flowers, eggs, and crosses add to the experience. Make something for your family, to give to friends, or for a gathering if you are attending one.
  
• Dye eggs. Even if your kids are too old for the egg hunt, dying eggs is a fun activity. I still love to do it and you can get more creative as you get older, making multi-colored eggs and drawing designs with the wax crayons.
  
• Make tissue paper crafts. This ties spring in with Easter, but you can make flowers, "stained glass", and so much more with tissue paper. I have a few ideas collected on my Fun Things To Do board. Make sure to check out the painting wooden eggs idea too!
