Full Swing Into Spring? // May 2023

Did I miss spring? It feels like we skipped right to summer. I got whiplash from the abrupt weather shift. I'm loving the beautiful magnolias, lilacs, and cherry (?) trees that are blooming. It's fun to watch spring kind of suddenly appear as the trees start budding. I like how things come out at different times.

This month is Mother's Day and Memorial Day so we will be getting together with family for both of those celebrations. In addition to keeping up with my four resolutions and desiring to try at least one new recipe each month, I have a few other things planned for May.

Personal

• Attend two weddings. We know of four couples (again!) getting married this year. Is this going to be the theme of the next few years? Tis the season of life :)
  
• Take a day trip. I'm hoping to take two or three day trips this spring/summer. I don't really want to go far or overnight by myself but going somewhere for the day sounds fun. I'm going to play tourist in my state!
  
• Hang cafe lights. Seriously!!!
  
• Stain a dresser. After a year and a half or so, this dresser is going to be finished!
  
• Watch some more high school baseball games. I need to get to one of my cousin's games and I have another random game to watch where I don't care about either team.
  

Business

• Start on a large-scale blog project. This is going to take a lot of time so I'm not planning to try and fit much else in this month.
  
• Re-watch another KJ course. I may not get through the whole thing, but I want to start it.
