Feature Friday: Emagine Theaters

I've got a movie hack for you that will change your movie-going experience! My family and I used to hardly ever go to the movies. It was just too expensive!! We'd go maybe once a year and only for small movies we wanted to support. Now we see multiple movies a year (I think my brother said he had seen seven or eight last year?) and it's almost all due to our discovery of Emagine Theaters.

Emagine is only in a handful of states, with Michigan and Minnesota having the most theaters. (Wisconsin and Illinois at present only have one each). Their goal is to be a high-end movie going experience. They offer food and beverages as though you were at a restaurant so your "dinner and a movie" date can be all in one place. Their seats are recliners and offer heated and cooled seats (although recently they had a recall on the heat from the manufacturer, so they are getting that fixed). They even have "cuddle chairs", basically loveseats for two with footstools. Sounds amazing, right?

Tickets are only $5!!! Now, after a certain time and on weekend they are more, but matinees are only five bucks! Isn't that insane? Then they have their Emagine Rewards which earn you free tickets and popcorn. Oh, and you get free popcorn on Tuesdays. We joined because we were going to a lot more movies and it has been really nice.
