Yes, I am posting this not the last Monday of May but the first Monday of June. Life has been moving so fast that the end of May kind of snuck up on me and also, I had a senior session to post, but I didn't want to skip it entirely so we just pushed it back a week.
May was jam-packed but so good and so refreshing, even in its busyness, because I got to spend so much time with many of my favorite people! My heart is definitely full!

It kind of feels like my head is spinning and swirling with all that's gone on and how my next few months are shaping up. April was really good, don't get me wrong, but it was FULL and I've accidentally planned at least one thing each Saturday April-June!!! Ooops! But it will be great :) I also have some news about this website and blog so keep reading!
I am reluctantly saying goodbye to winter but I have some outdoor projects that I'm kind of excited to do and I need it to be *slightly* warmer for them so I guess it's okay. I'm never mad when we get a few snow flurries still!
Just like that, another Roundup is here! Because I am doing these on Tuesdays now as my last blog post of the month, they are a bit early, so I will also recap the end of the previous month too. I have a LOT to share because February was so good!
I decided that I wanted to do roundup posts each month still so here we are! The first monthly roundup of 2026! For those who are on my email list, some of this will be familiar but there may be some new things too. I have to pick and choose sometimes for space purposes in emails. But here, I have all the space in the world!
Overall, this was a GREAT month! The two downsides (allergies and heat) were not enough to overshadow all the fun things that happened this June. It has been a wonderful start to the summer and just what I needed.
May was a lot. I haven't had such a busy month since September/October of 2023. While there were so many good things this month, I am hoping June slows down a bit because I am not a fan of going constantly like I have been.
I would say that April has been a month of extremes. I had a great time in Grand Rapids, then a very hard week with lots of bad news, then Easter and some wonderful small blessings. I spring cleaned my room (I'm weird in that I always look forward to that) so my room is clean and fresh and I read some really good books this month. Read on for more details and updates!
And just like that, we are a quarter done with 2025. It's already pushed and pulled me in all sorts of surprising ways but I feel like I'm finally settled into the year and I hope you are too! Winter is officially over (sadness) but I am excited to be barefoot soon and that our butter is soft again :) It's the little things that make me happy.
I have found the one "bad" thing about my new method of blogging. My wrap up posts go live much earlier in the month than the actual end of the month. Well... I'll just have to include anything of note in the next month's post I guess :) But on the whole, I have been pleased with this new system after one month of doing it.

Hi! I'm Sarah!
I am a natural light portrait photographer. I've been taking photos since 2014 and would eat a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch everyday if I could. Thank you so much for stopping by. I blog about sessions, things I'm learning, stuff in my life, and information for YOU, my client. If you like what you see around the site, I'd love to work with you! I'd also love to connect with you on Instagram. I'm @sarah_jayne_photo :) Archives
