It's the weirdest thing. For some reason, I always feel like summer is starting to end when July rolls around when, really, it is the height of summer! I hope it won't be hot like the end of June. Yuck! But I've got some big things I'm looking forward to this month and I can't wait to see what else comes up.

"There's somethin' about the sunshine..."
It's absolutely wild to think we are almost done with HALF of 2025. I'm not sure where the time is going. My "25 In 25" list is going well but I do need to get back to the books on that list if I want to complete it. "Hope" is a battle. I knew that making it my focus would bring out the struggle and it definitely has. This has been a wild year but I would say mostly good so far. I was expecting this year to be harder, for a variety of reasons, and while those reasons have reared their head and I've had some really rough days, they've stuck to days mostly and this year has been nice (I do have to say post-January). Keep reading because I have a lot of great things planned for June! I have found my favorite part of spring!
The other day I was driving and the trees had just the hints of green, but the pear, cherry, redbud, magnolia, etc. trees were all blooming and it's just so beautiful! Plus, the pear trees dropping their petals look like snow :) Happy Easter! I know it's not Easter yet but it's Easter month so I'm saying it. The other thing that happens in April is that the regular season starts for baseball! We are starting without some key players, which is sad, but I guess that's better than losing them mid-way through the year.
Who's ready for March? Not me :) I'm not ready for rain and mud season. But the end of winter brings me baseball season and I am looking forward to not needing to wear shoes all the time! What do you like about spring?
Hello there! I hope your 2025 is going well so far. Mine has been... interesting.
I was really hoping that I'd spend January getting creative and coming up with all sorts of ideas for content. Instead, much of the month was trapped in an anxiety/panic episode. Not fun at all, nor conducive to creativity. However, there was still a lot of positives in the month of January. So I'm going to get you caught up and then we'll dive into what February is looking like. We got some flurries in November, so there has been snow in the air. Here's hoping for a lot more! The decorations are up, the Christmas music is going, and I am ready for another wonderful Christmas season!
Each November I challenge myself to find at least one thing to be thankful for each day & WRITE IT DOWN. I have an app and I put stuff in that but I want this written down for posterity. Positivity and gratitude haven't been the easiest for me lately so I think this will be rather challenging this year but that's almost the point. It's easy to give thanks when things are all sunshine and rainbows. It's in the hard days when we really need to give thanks.
Ah, October. The month I don't know what to do with. I've heard people say that our bodies start to slow down in the fall, anticipating winter, and I definitely feel more sluggish in October. Not exactly unmotivated, but more like I'm just ambling through the month. Like a walk with no specific destination. Can anyone else relate?
Happy Labor Day! We're celebrating with family and friends, a campfire cookout and birthday celebrations, and probably yard games. Pretty standard for us but what isn't so standard is we are potentially having 30 people at our house! What do you do for Labor Day? Have you ever done the Mackinac Bridge walk? I really want to do that some day!
