 I read most of these books sometime in my teen years and the ones I read later I wished I'd read sooner!!! With the exception of Gretchen Rubin's book, these are all written by Christians, are about Christians, and/or have some aspect of the Christian faith about them. However, I believe that everyone can benefit from the principles within and the lessons available, even if you are not a Christian.
Because I read so much and have read so many great books, I had to include a couple bonus titles for you :)

 I don't typically share fiction books with you because I read SO MUCH OF IT! But last year I read a few new books that just blew me away and I have to share them with you! Also, if you are interested, I have a bookstagram account now (@tomeburrower) where I share more book reviews.
(You can click on the links to read my reviews on GR. Some reviews have spoilers but they will be hidden.)  Some years I have trouble coming up with 10 really good books to share with you. There are times when the books I've read are fine, but nothing noteworthy and nothing I want to tell everyone to read. This year, I had 10 easy, plus a few honorable mentions. Without further ado, here are my top non-fiction books from 2021!
 I don't post a lot of book reviews on here, but this one is a Christmas devotional for moms to help slow down the season and reclaim Christmas! That's something I need to share because I post about things that help moms!
 I really like reading and owning books that I enjoy is kind of one of my love languages. I want to be able to loan them to others and read them whenever the mood strikes and sometimes, I even underline or make notes in them! *gasp* Yes, I am one of "those" people :) It took me some time to get to that point, though.
Believe it or not, I do not have an endless supply of funds with which to purchase books, so I have gotten creative in how (and when) I get my books.  Some of my all-time favorite books are ones that are deep and have a message or have complex characters. I love that fiction can help me see myself and the real world more clearly by putting things into a pretend world. Sometimes seeing a character think and work through something can help me see it more clearly myself. Have you ever experienced that?
 Summertime is a great time to read. People take books on their trips and there just seems to be more time for pleasures like reading. I discovered several new books/authors this summer and also started re-reading the Trixie Belden series but there were a few new books that really stood out this summer and I'm going to share those with you. Maybe you'll want to add them to your next summer's reading list!
 I was the rare kid who did not read Harry Potter as a kid. A lot of my friends did but I guess they just didn't talk about it around me because I never felt like I was missing out. As I got older, I started hearing the debate among Christians over whether or not people should be reading these books. I decided I needed to read them for myself to draw my own conclusions. After all, how can I make a decision for my own kids if all I have are other people's opinions?
 Books and photography. Two of my favorite things put together in a very creative way. I was noticing recently how colorful a lot of my books are. I thought it would be fun to see just how many books I had of certain colors. These are just books that are stored in my bedroom and are the most colorful. I didn't get all the possibilities.
 I set myself the goal of reading 20 books off of my "to-read" shelf, the physical one and the one on Goodreads. At this time, I have two more to go and I think I'll get there since I'm in the middle of two right now :)
