Carson & Hazel

I love meeting new clients but I also love getting to work with little kids I already know and love!! I've missed these girls so much over the past four months and I was thrilled to be able to take their birthday photos!!

Yes, we did these the same day as Maggie's senior photos because these are her darling nieces!!! I was SO amazed by these girls! They did such a great job! We let "Aunt Mugga" go first so that they could see what a session was like but they've also done photos before. Hazel is the younger one and she can be slow to warm up but when she has her sister and her aunt around, she is so much better!!!

If you remember from Maggie's session, it was super muddy because it had rained all night and morning. Two little girls in white dresses and mud. What were we thinking? Again, they surprised us with how good they were about not sitting down and keeping their dressed clean.

Also amazing was how cooperative the girls were about doing photos together! They'd hug or hold hands with no problem and took direction so well! You'll notice Hazel wasn't smiling much but that little grin is a huge triumph because she doesn't know me all that well and hasn't seen me in months. Carson was so excited to see me! She wanted to hug and high five and even give me a kiss! (I told her we couldn't do that right now :) Little kids are just the best!!

I just have to mention this because connections like this are so special. Their mom's wedding was purple and sunflowers. The sunflower combs in the girls' hair were made by and worn by their mom when she got married. Isn't that so special and sweet?!!! Love it!!
