 Thanksgiving is a fun time of year. We spend it with my dad's family and this the only time of year we see them. In 2015, our Thanksgiving was very different.
 My favorite part of this session was near the end, when their little boy played peek-a-boo with me!! He wasn't all that into pictures but when he got to play with his blocks, I started getting real smiles and then peek-a-boo! Total win.
 In honor of the new movie about Mr. Rogers, I want to talk about my favorite memory relating to his show. I don't recall watching it all that often, but I do know I watched it enough to remember the general idea of it. I think they should do reruns because the world needs more of what Mr. Rogers had to offer. But that's not my memory :)
 This summer, I had the privilege of doing an extended family session for a family I met through my brother's baseball team. The last time they had taken a photo together, the two youngest grandchildren were not born and the other three grandkids were still kids. Now one was getting married and the grandparents wanted to commemorate this time they were all together.
 I want to share a resource with you that has been SO helpful in my study of the Bible. It's called The Bible Project (as you've probably figured out).
TBP views the Bible as an over-arching story (which it is), but they are trying to help you see how the books fit into that big story. They have a variety of resources to help you learn more about the Bible as you study.  Starting this business, I knew NOTHING about running a business. I was learning how to take photos and all the creative side of things, but the "brick and mortar" stuff... to be honest, I kind of avoided it for awhile because it was so overwhelming.
Most of these books aren't going to teach you accounting or how to get an LLC, but they are helpful to get an idea of running a business and relating to people because that's the whole point. The rest of it is moot if you can't relate to people well :)  Family history and family artifacts are pretty cool to me. We have some beautiful glasses that are 100+ years old!! I just think it is so incredible to think how many people used or owned something and all it "saw". The old "if walls could talk" idea.
Recently, my grandmother found a box of letters. Not just any letters. These were written from her mother to her father back in WWII when he was away in D.C. I think they might span a little bit after that as well. You see that handwriting! Both sides of the paper; multiple pages. That's the kind of letters these are! What a find!  Sometimes things come about in strange ways. It's a really long story of how I came to meet Tessa's family and take her senior photos but it is the latest in a line of stories I have of fun ways clients and I have connected!
