 Poof! There goes another month. I feel really good about this month and doing these recaps is helping me enjoy what I do more, as odd as that sounds.

 It's been over two years since I had this lovely family in front of my camera and I've been looking forward to it all year! You'll recognize some of these people because I am blessed enough to work with them a lot. We had an amazing time and the weather was absolutely gorgeous. I was praying hard for no rain and it held off until the next morning for us. Thank you, Lord!
 Last but not least, the babies got their own style guide too! You might wonder if newborn sessions are really different enough to warrant their own guide. Why can't the family guide work for both. Well, for one thing, it's a whole different set of photos and for another, newborn sessions are run very differently than family sessions, even if a family session has an infant.
 I'm the most excited about my senior style guides. All the time that I've had a style guide, I was sending the same one to my senior girls and my senior guys. As you might imagine, they have very different needs and expectations. I was not serving them well by having the exact same guide for both sessions. That is no longer the case! I have created a unique and specific guide for my guys and for my girls and I cannot wait to get them into my clients' hands!
 I am SO EXCITED to unveil the new and improved SJP Portrait Session Style Guides! Each of my sessions now has a specific style guide customized to that experience. Updated with even more information and now including pictures, this is a resource I am absolutely thrilled to be able to offer to my clients and I'm giving sneak peeks into the kinds of things that are included here on my blog! Today we are going to see a few pages from the Family Portrait Session Style Guide.
 How do you want to end your senior session? I'm a fan of epic endings. I had one senior girl who wanted to do cheer jumps and then actually laid down in a muddy puddle because she wanted to! It was crazy but so uniquely her. It truly was an epic way to end the session.
Maybe muddy puddles are not your thing but you still want to go out with a bang. I've got just the suggestion for you.  Good news! These past six months have flown by, which I think is a very positive thing. I find it hard to really describe my feelings about life here but I'm going to do my best!
 I am continually amazed by the creativity of people. The things that people can turn into a business that bless their clients so well AND benefit the least of these is mind-blowing and inspiring. Mama, Sing My Song is one of those businesses.
 I really like lighthouses. I live in Michigan and there's probably a law that says you have to like them if you life here, but I like them anyway. I've grown in my appreciation of them as I've grown up but there was one thing that really made me latch on to lighthouses.
 I feel like I'm getting whiplash. Where did summer go? This year, though, I'm satisfied that I made the most of my summer, rather than just letting it pass me by. It's time to dive into another school year, whether we are in school or not, and I've got a full September!
