 We did it!!!!! We finally got their photo session scheduled!!! But it was a challenge for the best reasons, because they got to go on several amazing family trips this summer. I'm so glad they got to have those precious experiences!

 I can't believe I am saying "Christmas" already! But such is the way things work in the photography world :) Even though fall has barely begun, this is the time to make plans so that your Christmas cards are not a last minute panic and that starts with a photo! For the first time ever, SJP is offering Pine Tree Mini sessions!!!
 It's been a few years since the Kendrick Brothers made a movie and they came back with a surprising departure from their normal fare - a documentary. We learned about their heart for fathers and fatherhood in the movie Courageous and they cement that commitment with this new movie.
 Some of my all-time favorite books are ones that are deep and have a message or have complex characters. I love that fiction can help me see myself and the real world more clearly by putting things into a pretend world. Sometimes seeing a character think and work through something can help me see it more clearly myself. Have you ever experienced that?
 What is community? What does it mean? What does it look like? Is it coffee dates and brunches and intentional time with no distractions? Is it activities and events? Yes, it is those things, but is it more? What if it went deeper than that?
 A lot of my clients are families with fairly young children. That makes sense, because when kids are young is when they change the most, but getting photos taken is not something that is reserved for families with kids. And mini sessions are not just for them either! So are mini sessions for?
 Back when I was in school, I challenged myself to come up with ten things I liked about spring and fall (my two least favorite seasons). I know, I know, it's practically heresy to say such things, but I've never been "normal" :) A lot of the reasons I used to like fall no longer apply, so I'm doing the challenge again. Let's see how hard it is to find ten things to like about fall!
 Summertime is a great time to read. People take books on their trips and there just seems to be more time for pleasures like reading. I discovered several new books/authors this summer and also started re-reading the Trixie Belden series but there were a few new books that really stood out this summer and I'm going to share those with you. Maybe you'll want to add them to your next summer's reading list!
 You might have gotten the idea that I'm big on experiences and you'd be right. I am all about fun experiences that make memories and that's why I think that gifts that give an experience are such wonderful ideas!
 One of my favorite things about senior sessions is how unique each session is! I love showcasing each senior's personality through their choice of location, outfits, and of course, props!
