 Overall, this was a GREAT month! The two downsides (allergies and heat) were not enough to overshadow all the fun things that happened this June. It has been a wonderful start to the summer and just what I needed.

 One thing that is so fun about brand sessions is the fun things that I get to help other entrepreneurs with their business dreams and goals! Watching Mary launch her home bakery business is so exciting and it was a pleasure to help her with this aspect of creating a new venture - content creation!
 Most of my clients come from word of mouth so it was a nice surprise to hear from Kristi, as she just found me from a web search! From reading her answers to the questionnaire, I could tell that this was a family who cared about each other and it's always fun to work with families like that! Perfect weather and a fun family equals photo magic!
 I was in a group a few weeks back that was discussing Gary Chapman's Love Languages and how to incorporate them into daily life more. You have to know your own (because not only is that how you feel loved the most but it's the way you naturally show love) and then you can learn to see what other's languages might be. But one of the discussion points was that life is so full already, how do we make time to intentionally speak these love languages to our family, friends, and even coworkers?
 Most people have some kind of expectation when they book a portrait session. They go in assuming that the photos they want are the posed, smiling at the camera, photos. And don't get me wrong, those are good, important photos, but those don't end up being the photos my clients love the most!!

It's absolutely wild to think we are almost done with HALF of 2025. I'm not sure where the time is going. My "25 In 25" list is going well but I do need to get back to the books on that list if I want to complete it. "Hope" is a battle. I knew that making it my focus would bring out the struggle and it definitely has. This has been a wild year but I would say mostly good so far. I was expecting this year to be harder, for a variety of reasons, and while those reasons have reared their head and I've had some really rough days, they've stuck to days mostly and this year has been nice (I do have to say post-January). Keep reading because I have a lot of great things planned for June! |
