Have you heard about the live-action version of Aladdin? I call it a "version" not a "remake" because it's not a remake. Not really.
Princess Jasmine was one of my favorite princess when I was a girl (along with Ariel). The Disney cartoons are not what I would call my favorite movies, but they are cute enough. Some people are not thrilled with all the live actions coming out, but I loved the Cinderella from a few years ago and was excited to see what they might do with Aladdin. It would be a bit more challenging to pull off well and, of course, what do you do with Genie? Let me tell you, I was very impressed.

I love being able to serve people with photography and I certainly want to give back to my church using the talents and gifts God has given me!! I got to do that twice this month and also do something different; a type of session I don't normally get asked to do.
I kind of discovered it by accident.
I got a bit pink one day and decided to use my moisturizer. I figured, what could it hurt? The next day, my sunburn was basically gone and I didn't peel at all! Since then, any time I get even a little bit burned, I put moisturizer on and I'm good. My dad and brothers get way more burned than I ever do and it helps them. The more severely burned you are, the longer it takes to work, in our experience, but it still helps with pain and peeling. Have you ever discovered a new product or company, found out that it's been around for a long time, and wondered how on earth you've not heard about it before now? That was me with Lilla Rose. They've been around since 2008!! And since they're still around, they obviously sell enough to stay in business but I guess they are a word-of-mouth niche or something.
What is Lilla Rose? They are the makers of the FlexiClip, my new favorite hair accessory!!! What's the worst thing your kids have done?
I don't mean behavior, I'm talking about something they did that they didn't know any better and they were just so cute that you found it hard to even be mad at them. My parents tell us this story of the time we "cleaned" my dad's truck. I'm not sure it it counts as the worst thing we did, but it's probably up there. Two years ago, I did some senior pictures for a close friend. This year, I did senior pictures for his brother. You can realize that there is learning and change going on to a degree, but looking at something like this shows what can happen in a short amount of time when you have the right teaching. I'm going to show you what has happened between 2017 and now.
 I've had so many different kinds of planners over the years. They all had certain elements that I really liked and I found ways to make each work for me.
For some reason, planners can be so expensive! I'm not really sure why. The struggle for me has been to find a planner that I can use that isn't a ton of money AND is just for the calendar year. I did an Instagram post on this a few weeks back, but in a blog post I can say a LOT more :)
Those of you who know me or have been reading and following along for a while have heard me talk about Phylicia Masonheimer. (Kristen LaValley calls us all "Phylitians" :) She has definitely helped me reshape and learn about faith and life and especially have a more positive view of motherhood. I wouldn't say my view was negative, per se, but the cultural trends have a way of seeping in if there isn't anything else being taught. My mindset has slowly been reshaped and I was making plans and figuring out how I'd like to do things "when I grow up", which really means when I have my own house and family. Then, I watched a talk by Heidi St. John and now I AM SO EXCITED!!! "I am..."
Fill in the blank. What would you put there? What identifiers jump to mind when you read or hear those words? What do you tell people? Maybe more importantly, what do you tell yourself? Those two little words have extreme power in our lives. One of my love languages is gift giving but I try to give meaningful gifts that will uplift and encourage the recipient or mean something to them. This last Christmas, Hosanna Revival helped me do that with their lovely stickers!
