 I know I say this every year but MAN! Where is this year going?! How are we already done with three months of 2024?! It's officially spring now and I'm ready because I got some rain/muck boots! I'm very excited to have an easy on/easy off shoe that can get wet and muddy. Even getting the mail can be a muddy job in the spring and fall.

 It's been a month since I went on the trip of a lifetime to California. There were so many "firsts" for me, so many opportunities to be brave and step out of my comfort zone, and I learned several key lessons.
 I'm not a super outdoorsey person, which will not come as a surprise if you know me at all :) I like the beauty of nature but I'm not a hiker or camper or anything like that. However, I've gotten more into doing things outdoors in the last few years.
 Spring break is coming and summer will be here before we even know it. Some people have elaborate plans for these times but if that's not you and your friend group, what will you do with your time? I've got ten ideas to get you started and these might jump start your imagination to other fun things!
 "Where would you go if you could go anywhere?" I've had the same go-to answer for years, and I stand by it, but there are so many places that would be amazing, so I'm going to expand on that answer in this post.
 "Let's pack up and move to California/She's got lots of friends out there..."
No, I have no plans to move to California, but I do love the song "California" by Hawk Nelson. It was definitely playing in my head while I was out there. What a trip! It's been almost a month and I still feel like I'm processing things. I guess I'll just take you through each day and add photos. Lots and lots of photos!  You only graduate high school once. Why not make it memorable?
Applications are now open for a spot on the 2024/2025 SJP Senior Rep Team. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will help make your senior year one you will never forget!  I make no secret of the fact that I love doing large family sessions and this one was no exception! Nothing warms my heart more than a family who loves to be together. It's even better when that family is gathering to celebrate mom/grandma/great-grandma's 90th birthday! What a milestone!

You might wonder if there is anything left to look forward to after a trip out West, but let me tell you, there is still PLENTY of things that I am excited about coming up. |
