April In The D // 2024

Welcome to one of my favorite months! We are starting off well with a super fun senior session that I am doing today and I can't wait to share it with you :) This is going to be a fun month, I think.

I have to say that it's extremely weird that Easter is not in April this year. It's also weird but fun to think about the fact that this month ten years ago, I was driving across the US with my family on the trip of a lifetime! So many good memories and I am looking forward to remembering them over the next few weeks.

One of my friends is having a baby any day (he could be here by the time you read this) and I am so looking forward to meeting him. My friend and her husband are going to be such amazing parents. It's going to be so great to watch them.

I have quite a few personal goals and plans this month, but my business goals are a bit more time consuming, so there are fewer of them.


Personal

• Spring clean my room. I'm so weird in that I actually look forward to doing this! It just feels really good.
• Finish my Tigers scrapbook from last year. Why do I wait until the next season starts?! Thankfully I really just have to print out some articles and tape them in the book.
• Watch the eclipse. I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to bring my camera to this one or just enjoy it.
• Go through our trip out West from ten years ago. It's hard to believe it's been ten years since that trip!! We want to watch some of the videos and pull out the scrapbooks I made and reminisce.

Business

• Getting back into editing. Now that spring is here, photographers have more work so I will be busy editing again. I've missed the work, so I am glad to be getting back.
• Plan and market a day of Novella sessions. I've been toying with this idea of a session that is longer than a mini but still not the time and money investment of a full session. I hope that this will be something that will be a blessing to my clients or to people who would love to work with me but time or money is a barrier.
