A Cold, Snowy Winter Session // Ford Field, Northville

Honest confession - I haven't had photos taken of me since my senior year. Yeah, I know that's pretty bad. A goal of mine, for several years now, is to have images of myself taken in every season. Winter has been so hard because snow is rare and when it does come, it doesn't stay around long. We finally had a day with snow and both my friend and I were free! Never mind that it was about 17 degrees outside :)

My friend who took the photos for me doesn't have the training I have. She's not a professional photographer. It was also completely sunny, no clouds, which can be a challenge to people who know what to do! I gave her a quick lesson and she ran with it and I am so impressed with how my photos turned out!

It really didn't seem that cold out, maybe due to the sun, but man! Holding snow was painful! I wanted to so some fun pictures blowing snow out of my hands and I didn't do it long but my hands hurt a LOT! My battery was dying anyway (cold kills batteries fast!) so we went back to the car to warm up and get a new battery.

I did some photos of my friend as well. She's such a model! I joked with her that our hair was completely opposite ombre. She has light brown hair and dyed the ends black. I have dark hair that fades down to much lighter. People have told us for years that we look alike. At the end, I have a selfie we took. What do you think? Sisters or not? Leave a comment!
